Ronald David Jernigan, 58, of Hot Springs passed away Wednesday November 7, 2012. He was born September 26, 1954 in Marianna, Arkansas. Ron graduated from Paragould High School in 1972 then graduated Arkansas State University with a degree in computer programming and worked for Systematics/Alltel in Little Rock; was a devoted Methodist church member; his hobbies included bowling, golf, blackjack, and bridge. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathy Jernigan, one daughter, Ronda Jernigan James, his father, Ray Jernigan and one brother, Russell Jernigan. Survivors include his mother, Monica Mitchell of Hot Springs; one sister, Rita Jernigan and wife Pam of Little Rock; one brother, Randell Jernigan and wife Robin of Jonesboro; one daughter, Angela Thomas and husband Michael of Plumerville; grandsons, Blake and Daeron James; son-in-law, Jeff James of Plumerville; stepsisters, Kerry Jewison of Madison, Wisconsin, Jocelyn Noel of Paragould and Michele French of North Little Rock; stepbrother, Eddie Jernigan of Paragould; and his best friend, Chuck Dudley of Hot Springs. Burial will be at a later date in Marianna, Arkansas. Cards may be sent to family members at 115 Forest Heights Trail Hot Springs 71901. Memorials may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The family would like to express thanks to Hospice Home Care and to the staffs of Pines and Garland Nursing facilities for their kindness and compassion and endless supply of Dr. Peppers.
