James Edward Freer

James Edward Freer, 80, of Fordyce died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born February 14, 1932 in Ivan, Arkansas. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific in Fordyce and was a Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Clarence Freer and Debbie Rose Lum Freer; wife, Venita Jane Adams Freer; son, Don Freer, brothers, Charlie Freer and Bill Freer; and sisters, Lavelda Raney and Catherine Hornaday. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Jon) Bloomberg of Cabot, Janie Freer of Monticello, Tammy (Chris) Taylor of Bryant; two brothers, J.C. Freer, Jr. and Earl Freer both of Ivan; four sisters, Maggie Riggan of Carthage, Annette Temple of Warren, Carolyn Richardson of Menifee, CA , and Joyce Gray of Fordyce; grandchildren, Eric and Seth Bloomberg, Rachel Galbraith, Marley Wes Lawson, Jessica Taylor, Emma Taylor and Jake Taylor; great-grandchildren, Natalie Lawson and Coy Beckett Lawson. Visitation will be Tuesday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev.
