Kittie Boles Baker of Russellville died on Saturday November 10th at Stella Manor Nursing & Rehab Center. Kittie, a native of Dardanelle, moved to Russellville after her marriage to J Rankin Baker in 1946, where they raised two sons, John R. Baker Jr. who retired from the USAF in 2005 and currently lives in Dardanelle, and Jay Keith Baker who is a college professor in Dallas, Texas.

Kitties' first job was as Dr. Roy Millard's office manager in his Dardanelle office before he moved his practice to Russellville. During WWII, while two of her brothers and her future husband fought overseas, she worked at an ammunition production factory near Texarkana. She enjoyed a life-long love of music and was the organist at the Central Presbyterian Church for several years and was active in local music groups. For many years she was an active supporter of local schools, sports, band, and scout activities.

Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her son John and daughter-in-law Judi, son Keith and daughter-in-law Pam; four grandchildren, Catherine, John, Amanda, and Hayden, and two great-grandchildren; Sofiya and Max.

She blessed our lives every single day and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private family graveside will be held at Brearley demetery in Dardanelle under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brian Brock presiding.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday at Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 400 West Main St. Russellville, Arkansas 72801. Online obituary and guestbook may be viewed at
