Anita Jean Opitz Etheridge

Anita Jean Opitz Etheridge, 86 of Conway, passed away Tuesday, November 13. 2012. Anita was born on July 2, 1926 in Conway to Henry Grady and Lera Elaine Opitz (Bowen). In 1947 she married Wade M. Etheridge, an Army Veteran of WWII. She was a retired school teacher who taught at Conway High School and the Little Rock Air Force Base. Survivors include her son, Jerry K. Etheridge; her niece, Cynthia Harris; her nephew, John David Opitz and their children, M. Josh Harris, and Olivia Opitz; and Mrs. Mary West, a very special family friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother John Henry Opitz. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Crestlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501-327-7727).
