Carla Jean Aken Green Hampton Solomon Hall

Carla Jean Aken Green Hampton Solomon Hall of Little Rock, passed away early on the morning of November 13, 2012 after a short illness. Carla grew up in Elkville, Illinois and spent over 30 years with AT&T and Southwestern Bell Telephone. After retiring, she and her husband owned and operated the Old Stuff Store in the Ferndale community west of Little Rock. Carla was a devoted wife to Ray Hall, the mother of Terry Green of Columbus, Ohio (deceased); Barry Green of Greenville, Texas; Regina Hampton of Austin, Texas; and Rebecca Brogdon of Los Angeles, California. She was also a talented vocalist. She had a passion for all animals, making her home and acreage in Ferndale into an animal sanctuary. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society 14600 Colonel Glenn Road Little Rock, Arkansas 72210 in lieu of flowers. There will be a memorial service at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 13801 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock (501) 224-8300 on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. Final burial will be in Elkville, Illinois Sunday, November 18, 2012.
