Georgia R. Heard

Mrs. Georgia R. Morrison-Heard, 82, of Little Rock, transitioned to her Heavenly home, Saturday surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Heard, parents and brothers. Georgia loved to sing, travel and spend time with her family. She worked over 25 years at Baptist Medical Center and was affectionately known as "Mama Heard." She is survived by her loving and dedicated children, Xavier (Treasie) of Maumelle, Ark., Louis B.(Ruby), Myron E. (Carla) and daughter Emily R. Heard-Williams all of Little Rock; sisters, Mary Mathis of Inglewood, Calif., Eddie L. (Wiley) Jones of Richmond, Calif., Eunice (Michael) Thrasher of LR, Julia Morrison and Deandra Cooper both of Benton, Ark.; brothers, Clarence E. Morrison of LR, Thomas E. (Meneria Dean) Morrison of Blevins, Ark., Charles D. (Sonya) of Belleville, Illinois, Michael (Wanda) Morrison of Little Rock and Donald Morrison of Benton, Ark., a host of other relatives, special friends and care givers, Jackie Williams and Glenda Sue Early. Services are 11 a.m. Sat., Bethel AME Church LR, visitation, Friday 2-5 p.m. at Dubisson Funeral Home with family hour 6-7 p.m. at the church.
