Verdie Mae Pollins 94, of Okolona died Thursday, November 8 at her home in Okolona. She was born October 1, 1918 in Hollywood the daughter of the late Fines and Katherine Osborne. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Church at Okolona. Survivors include three sons, Jimmie (Martha) Lee Pollins and Bennie Lee Pollins both of Okolona; Bobby (Earnestine) Joe Pollins of Bryant; one daughter, Lillie Smith of Mineral Springs ; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Okolona with Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial: First Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home, from.
