John Wesley Wardlaw

John Wesley "JW" Wardlaw, 82, of White Hall died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab, in Sheridan. He was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Sheridan to Clifford and Eva Hornady Wardlaw. He was reared and received his early education in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School. Mr. Wardlaw was a Baptist and an US Arm Veteran. He worked as a brakeman for the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lloyd Wardlaw, Curtis Wardlaw, Frances Fielding, James Wardlaw; and two granddaughters. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Anna Miller Wardlaw; a son, Gary Wardlaw of Russellville; a daughter, Lisa Gray of Vian, Okla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Reverend Jimmie R. Naugher officating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
