Mr. Leo McNeely, Jr., resident of McCrory, died on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Springfield Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock. Mr. McNeely was 67 years of age. Visitaiton will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at 2 p.m. all at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory. Interment will be in the Pumpkin Bend Cemetery with Thompson-Wilson Directors in charge of arrangements. Mr. McNeely was born on Sept. 25, 1945, in Morton, Ark. and was a graduate of McCrory High School . He was in the National Guard for over 30 years and was employed by them as well. He also retired from John Deere Implement in Memphis, Tenn. Mr. McNeely was an avid Razorback basketball and football fan and tried to never miss a game on television. he was a quiet and gentle person and his home was always kept neatly, inside and out. The many leaves that fell barely hit the ground before he had them raked and picked up. He was a good neighbor and his main love was spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Krista and Tim Rickman of Olive Branch, Miss., his mother, Mrs. Winnie Lee McNeely of McCrory, five sisters: Juanita Planchon, Oneida Williams, Joyce, James, Patty Nelson and husband James and Louann McNeely, two grandchildren: Benjamin and Zachary Rickman. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo McNeely, Sr. and one son, Kevin McNeely. Pallbearers will be Tracy Warner, Travis Warner, Stephen Warner, Ferrell Payne, Wayne Payne and Thomas Lehane Kendrick.
