Mary Dean Castagno

MARY DEAN CAASTAGNO, age 86, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. She was born May 21, 1926 to the late Louis and Alma (Stark) Heger in Jasper, MO. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock and retired from St. Vincent's as a registered nurse. She loved being outdoors and tending to her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Castagno and her brother, Bill Heger. Survivors include her four sons, Steve Castagno of Little Rock, Terry Castagno and wife, Gretchen of Lewisville, Texas, Dan Castagno and wife, Peg of Pickerington, Ohio, and David Castagno and wife, Carmen of Plano, Texas; her six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alyssa, Meghan, Chris, Caitlyn, and Renee Castagno, and other relatives and friends. A Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501) 224-8300, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, 72211, followed by a visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock with Monsignor Francis Malone as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock with her sons serving as pallbearers.
