Zelda Louise Overstreet-Guthrie

Zelda Louise Overstreet-Guthrie, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. She was born April 15, 1919. She married Clenis Clifton (Buster) Guthrie on Dec. 20, 1937, and they were married for 62 years. She was an active member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Judsonia for many years and was a homemaker. Survivors include her three daughters, Linda Nixon of Judsonia, Ruth and Jimmy Hamilton of Bryant and Jeanette and Jim Morehead of Benton; six grandchildren, Darrell and Pam Nixon, Debbie Nixon, Diane Nixon-Woodson, Sherri and Casey Jones, Kristen and Tony Wright; seven great–grandchildren, April and Brian Powell, Kyle Nixon, Leslie and Jacob Weeks, Brittany Jones, Sydney Jones, Zachary Wright, Nicholas Wright; one sister, Ophelia (Pete) and Lloyd Murphy of Michigan City, Ind. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clenis Clifton (Buster) Guthrie; parents, Clifton and Ollie Overstreet; sisters, Lola Fisher and Opal Sterling; brother, Howard Overstreet; grandson, Kevin Morehead; son-in-law, Wardell Nixon; great-granddaughter, Taylor Walker Morehead. Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 19, 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Copeland officiating. Pallbearers will be Darrell Nixon, Kyle Nixon, Tony Wright, Casey Jones, Brian Powell, Bud Sellers, David Lee and Jacob Weeks.
