Georgia M. Lancaster

Georgia M. Lancaster, 69, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was Home Health Nurse for Area Agency on Aging. She was of the Assembly of God faith, loved to fish, sew, and crochet, she was born September 30, 1943, in Webb City, Arkansas, to James W. and Nona Faye Barnett Bowman. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Larry, Carlton and Kenneth Bowman. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark, with Brother Rickey Jackson officiating, with burial at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt, Arkansas, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe Lancaster, of Ozark; two sons, Joe Lancaster and wife Brenda of Tuckerman, and Kevin Lancaster of Clarksville; a daughter Paula Poole and husband Sammy of Coal Hill; two brothers, James Bowman and wife Geraldine of Paris and Donald Ray Bowman and wife Faye of Coweta, Oklahoma; four sisters, Margie Bowman of Van Buren; Shirley Reed and husband Bill, of Eureka Springs; Darlene Bowman of Altus; and Rhonda Bowman of Van Buren; six grandchildren: Brittany Jones and husband Jeremy, Josh Lancaster and wife Skylar, and Caleb Lancaster, all of Newport, Arkansas, Keyannah Roberts of Clarksville, Thomas Bankston and Brandan McCartney and wife Savanna, of Coal Hill; four great grandchildren: Noah and Ali Pierce, Kaiden Lancaster, and Kaydance Bankston. Pallbearers are all of the grandsons and Jesse Mason; honorary pallbearers are Paul Knox and Don Bowman.
