John Edgar Taggart

John Edgar Taggart was born on November 9, 1923 and departed this life on November 23, 2012 at the age of 89. He was the son of James W. and Nannie F. Taggart. John was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife Forrestine Burrow Taggart; grandson, Christopher I. Brown; son-in-law, Bobby M. Brown; and ten siblings. He is survived by four daughters, Linda Brown of Augusta, Jenny Bailey of West Memphis, Mary Knight (Tommy) of Lake City, Teena Pirkle (Michael) of Wentzville, Mo. He is also survived by one sister, JoAnn Pickens of Searcy; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25 from 5-7 p.m. at Rhodes & Son Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Augusta on Monday, November 26 at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Rhodes & Son Funeral Home, Augusta & McCrory.
