James Duck

JAMES ALBERT DUCK, 90, of North Little Rock, Ark., died Nov. 22, 2012. He was born in Itasca, Texas on Sept. 30, 1922 to Joseph C. and Annie Fleece Duck. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, J.C. Duck and his infant son, James M. Duck. He attended Itasca High School and Hill County Junior College and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He was a licensed architect in the State of Texas and retired from the Corps of Engineers. He was a World War ll Veteran and served on the Battleship USS New York. He was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church having joined in his youth. At the time of his death he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Emma C. Duck of North Little Rock and a nephew, Joe Thomas Duck of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by his wife's nieces and nephews whom he felt were his own. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock with a funeral service on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
