Marie Wolf Simons

Marie Wolf Simons, age 91, of Benton passed away on Nov. 24, 2012 after a short illness. Marie was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Malvern. Mrs. Simons spent all of her adult life in Saline County and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Marie was a accomplished Seamstress and she worked several years performing alterations at The Fashion Store in Benton and also sewed for family and friends. She was a loving Mother and grandmother, great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lindsey Schwanner; husbands, Woodrow Wolf and Gerald Simons. Survivors, daughter, Bonnie Wolf, Benton; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Wolf and his wife Cherry Edmonson Wolf, Benton; Granddaughters, Melissa Lewis, Dallas, Texas; Rebecca Santamaria and husband Pablo, Dallas,Texas; Laura Pritchard and husband John, Benton; great-granddaughter, Paloma and great-grandson, Ryder, both of Benton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ashby's. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Minister will be Dr. Rick Grant.
