Robert Lee Jones, Jr.

Robert Lee Jones Jr., age 83, of Alexander, passed away Sunday, November 25. He was born December 15, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy and was a Master Plumber having owned and operated Jones Plumbing in Mabelvale for 30 years. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, Past President and Vice-President of the Arkansas Plumbers Association, co-founder of C.A.J. Apprentice Committee and a member of the Lions Club. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Jones Sr. and Serena Center Jones; his first wife of 48 years, Zena Ann Ault Jones; his 2nd wife of 10 years, Wanda Goodson Jones; two brothers, Melvin and Floyd Jones and daughter-in-law, Betty Jones. He is survived by four children, Charlotte Williams (Jackie), Kerry Jones (Susan), Joyce Tudor and Walter Jones; four step-daughters, Norma (Jim), Kathryn (Ronnie), Linda (Jim) and Mary Ann (Barry); brother, Jimmy Jones; two sisters, Maurine Polk and Betty Slaughter; mother-in-law, Violet; grandchildren, Jason Williams, (Cyndy Wortham), Neil Jones (Kristen), Stephanie Wolmarans (Kevin), J. Mechael Tudor, James M. Tudor III, J. Michael Tudor and Angela Adams and great-grandchildren, Jared Williams, Zachary Jones, Jane Ann and Lillian Adams. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 27 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28 at New Kirk Cemetery in Jessieville.
