Beatrice Kincade Hollis

Mrs. Beatrice Kincade Hollis, 87, of Crossett, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mrs. Hollis was a native of Atkins; a resident of Crossett for the past 20 years and a former resident of Dermott. She worked at the McGehee Garment Factory for several years and she worked at Pinewood Nursing Home having retired in 1999. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and working in her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Benjamin Hollis in 1995; a son, John Edward Hollis, a daughter, Donnie Louise Hollis Watson; her parents, Fred & Pearlie Bowline Kincade; three brothers, Earl, Roy & Troy Kincade; three sisters, Lola Kincade Hollis, Georgia Kincade Ford and Annie Mae Kincade McCandless. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Earl Hollis and wife, Linda, of Hamburg and James Benjamin Hollis and wife, Louise, of West Crossett; four daughters, Shirley Hollis Watson and husband, Walter, of Arkansas City, Mary Hollis Wells and husband, Charlie, of Rohwer, Bonnie Hollis Matthews and husband, Michael, of North Crossett and Carolyn Hollis Jordan and husband, David, of Crossett; a sister, Edith Kincade Guerreo of Belleville, Illinois; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Hodge and Rev. David Tohlen officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Bryan Hollis, Lance Watson, Cody Cherry, Steven Sandlin, Bo Parris, Rickey Parris, Michael Hollis and Curt Hollis. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
