James C. Farrell, 93, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012. He was born October 31, 1919 in Grant County, Arkansas, son of James Alfred Farrell and Maggie Hagan Farrell Wilson. Mr. Farrell was reared and received his early education in Watson Chapel. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Farrell was stationed in England, where he met and married his wife, Hilda Marshall Farrell April 28, 1945. Mr. Farrell was a very talented self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and VFW Post 4455. Mr. Farrell was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Clara Ucello, Velma Trahan and Lois Bush; and brother, Fred Farrell. Survivors include two sons, James Farrell (Beverly) of Hot Springs and Jack Farrell (Theresa) of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Verna Puckett (Ron) of White Hall and Mannette Lunsford (Danny) of Pine Bluff; sister, Kathryn Sites of Georgia; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son.
