Dolphus Davison Strain

Dolphus Davison D.D. Strain, age 74, of Humphrey, Brewer Bottoms, passed away Sept. 29, 2012. He was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Brewer Bottoms, Ark. to Dewey and Georgia Strain. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ray Strain; daughter, Judy Turner; four brothers; three sisters and a great-granddaughter, Stormie Turner. He is survived by his daughter, Rita Turner and husband, Benny of Carlisle; brothers–F.S. Strain of Brewer Bottoms, Ark., Clifford Strain, Mack Strain, Bryant Strain and Zack Strain all of Texas; grandchildren–Hydi Turner, Camron Turner, Wade Turner, Derrick Strain, Crystal Holland, Amber Ballard, Mark Duncan, Joey Hawkins, Jessica Cheek, Jamie Cheek, Josh Cheek and 19 great-grandchildren; and a special helper, Mary Gracey and her two children. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weems Family Funeral Services at 104 W. 5 Street in Carlisle. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at Weems Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Danny Heird officiating. Burial will be at approximately 2 p.m. in St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles, Ark. Arrangements by Weems Family Funeral Services in Carlisle.
