Margie Lahoma Berry, age 87, of Roland, Arkansas passed away peacefully on October 18, 2012 at home. She was born on March 28, 1925 in Yonkers, Oklahoma to her parents, James and Elizabeth Love Joice. Margie was one of eight children. She married Thomas Berry in Washington, DC on September 20, 1946. They had three children. She attended Bacone University and graduated with an associate degree in business. A resident of Roland, Arkansas for 37 years, she was employed by Porocel Corporation as a secretary for 20 years. Margie was a member of Roland Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, quilting and volunteer work. Margie will be remembered by her loving husband, Tom, and their children, Diane Donnelly (John), Donna Forrester, and Tommy Berry (Terri). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Miles Joice, Famous Joice, Velma Clinton, Hal Joice, Ed Joice, Zelma Vann and Leftridge Joice. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Margie from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, October 21st at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 22nd at Kennerly Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Monnie Springs, Arkansas with Rev. Leroy Patterson officiating.
