Madelyn Dalziel Chain

Madelyn Dalziel Chain, age 67, of Bentonville, formerly of Little Rock, passed away at Bentonville Manor on October 18, 2012, after an extended illness. Madelyn was born September 22, 1945 in Orlando, Florida to Colonel Davison Dalziel and Jean (Holden) Dalziel. Madelyn is survived by her daughter, Karey L. Kelly of Bryant, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her sister, Joan Dalziel Straw of Newburyport, MA and brother, Davison Dalziel Jr. of East Brookfield, Mass., as well as two nieces and two grandnephews. Madelyn spent her younger years around the country with her Air Force family. After graduating from the University of Central Arkansas, she married and settled in Little Rock, Ark. In recent years she lived in Hot Springs and Bentonville. Madelyn loved horses and as a young woman excelled at her horsemanship. She also appreciated and wrote poetry and loved good mexican food. Memorial services and burial will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to The American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20004. Cremation arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
