William Larry Hopper

William Larry Hopper, 79, of Plainview, Ark., formerly of Fort Smith, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012. He was born on July 25, 1933 in Havana, Ark. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired electrical engineer for Schlumberger. Private family services will be held at a later date, he will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; a daughter, Leisa Gramlich of Fort Smith; a son, Steven Hopper of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Bid Hopper of Plainview, Ark. and Monte Hopper of Avon, Conn., and three grandchildren.
