Billy W. Rice

Billy W. Rice, 77, of Scott, born Feb. 17, 1935 in Pittsburg, Penn., to father, John Andrew Rice, and mother, Roberta M. Hollyfield passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012. He was a charter member of the Lynch View Baptist Church. He retired from Kroger after 43 years. He was also a Veteran of the Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Wayne Rice; two brothers; and one sister. Billy is survived by his wife, Charlene Rice; his sons, Rodney (Tammy) Rice and Johnny (Terri) Rice; and his daughter-in-law, Donna Rice of Springfield, Mo. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry Rice of Marvell, Ark., and Paul Rice of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Brian (Christy) Rice, Daniel Rice, Lauren Rice, Amber Rice, Katie (Joe) Brooks, Jackson Rice, and Luke Rice; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Lynch View Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the church.
