Mr. James Monroe Watson, 92, of Clinton, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 3, 2012. He was born February 11, 1920 at Crabtree Community, Arkansas to Irby Monroe and Dovie Leota (Autry) Watson. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army/Air Force, 11th Bomb Group from 1941 to 1945 and was very proud to have served his country. James was a husband, father, and grandfather and made his living farming. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, of the Zion Hill Community and served as a deacon for 57 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Janice (Reynolds) Watson, a son, Kenny and wife Barbara Watson of Clinton, a daughter-in-law, Debbie Watson of Clinton, one brother, Irby Watson, of Little Rock, one sister, Opal Tester of Clinton, grandsons, Jerry Watson and wife Sherry of Rose Bud, Travis Watson of Clinton, Randy Treese of Clinton, granddaughters, Mica Cullum and husband Darrin of Clinton, Morgan Roberson and husband Allen of Clinton, Tammy Horton and husband Gay of Greers Ferry, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be 9 a.m. and Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Howard and Bro. Dean Housley officiating. Burial will follow at Crabtree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Foundation or Zion Hill Baptist Church.
