Maxine Jo Harris, of Sherwood, passed away at her home and was received by her Lord and Savior on Sept. 2nd, 2012. She was bar Feb. 5th, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana and grew up in N.L.R. She loved flowers, birds, the family pets, fall evenings, watching movies and visiting with friends. Maxine was a loving and generous wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and always looked for ways to make things easier or better for them. She retired after 30 plus years as an insurance customer service rep. Maxine attended N.L.R. High School thru the 11th grade and married her devoted husband, Ed, with whom she shared the last 59 and a half years with. She is preceded in death by her parents: Barney and Estelle Cockran Pulliam and her brother, James Pulliam. She leaves behind: husband, H.E. (Ed) Harris; daughter, Vicki Nguyen and husband Paul, of Sherwood, grandson, Brandon Lingo; sisters; Mary Lee Schonert, of Memphis, Tenn.; nieces, great nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6th, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, located at: 7724 Landers Rd. in N.L.R. Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 7th, at 10 a.m. in the Rest Hills Chapel followed by Interment in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
