Mercedes E. Dominguez-Cuevas, 72, of Conway, went to be with her late husband, Felix Dominguez on September 3, 2012. She was born on July 25, 1940 to the late Antonio and Carmen Cuevas in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mercedes immigrated to the states in 1974 with her husband followed by her children in 1976. She came to the U.S. to get away from the violence and oppression of Argentina and to provide a safe and better life for her family. Mercedes proudest moment was becoming a U.S. citizen on July 4, 1986, where she was able to met President Ronald Reagan. She was a successful restauranteur in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. Mercedes enjoyed gardening, music, and going to concerts but was happiest spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially around the holidays. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all. She is survived by her three sons; Gabriel Dominguez, Pablo Dominguez, Santiago Dominguez, one daughter; Carmen Lucero, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are intrusted to Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, Ark.
