She was a very visible part of the Savannah historical and tour guide industry from an early age and into her adulthood as a horse carriage tour guide and museum docent for the Owens Thomas house and Davenport house. Emily would meet and greet people from all over the world to perform as well as discuss the rich history and culture of Savannah. She was a born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia, in 2001. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Miller, who passed away when she was four years old in Arkansas, her paternal grandfather, O.C. Miller, and maternal grandmother, Jeanne Glover. Emily left Arkansas with her family when Gulfstream Aerospace employed her father and the Pickels' found their home in Coastal Georgia. She also leaves behind her grandmother Carolyn Miller of Sherwood, Ark., her grandfather Carl M. Glover Sr., of Benton, Ark., and grandparents, Gerald C. and Mary E. Pickels of Cabot, Ark. Services for Emily are set for this Friday and Saturday in both Richmond Hill and Savannah.
