Carolyn Cecile Davis

Mrs. Carolyn Cecile Kelly Davis age 75, of Forrest City, Ark. died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012. Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 27, 1936 in Little Rock. She was the daughter of Cecil Calvert Kelly and Eva Lee Hill Kelly. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. She sang in a trio group in the Church, was past president of the Garden Gate Garden club, the Comos Club, the Musical Coterie Club and was a enthusiastic member of the Bridge Club. Mrs. Davis married Bill S. Davis in 1954. He survives her along with two daughters, Lori Davis Wiggins and husband Steve of Knoxville, Tenn., Deborah Davis Pelkey and husband Jeff of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Monita Swaim of Little Rock, Iwana Keisler of Sheridan and Eva Ann Rackley of Roland, Ark.; four grandchildren also survive her, Kelsey Caran Wiggins, Sarah Elizabeth Wiggins, Joshua Taylor Pelkey and Courtney Michelle Pelkey. A daughter, Rebecca Lou Davis preceded her in death in 1972. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 at the funeral home Sunday. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net.
