Coy H. Lawson

Coy H. Lawson, age 92, a retired representative of an educational publisher and former Arkansas school administrator, died Sept. 8, 2012. Lawson was a veteran of 31 combat missions in the 389th Group of the 8th Air Force in World War Two. He was a member of AARP, the Fairfield Bay Lions Club, and for 27 years a member of the Arkansas Bookmen's Association. He served in various other community services and activities. He was preceded in death by his wife Rowena F. Lawson, who passed away on April 8, 2009. A private entombment service for family will be held at the mausoleum in Pine Crest Memorial Park in Little Rock at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity. He is survived by a son Richard Lawson of Hot Springs; a daughter Melissa Lawson Brown of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bessie Richey of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
