Gladys Aunine Gordon

Gladys Aunine Gordon, 92, of Pleasant Plains, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Harris Hospital. She was born July 14, 1920, in Pleasant Plains to the late James Gilbert and Sylvia Cozort Royer. Aunine was a member of the Independence Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Gordon and wife Linda Jean and Alvin Glen Gordon and wife Linda Lou both of Pleasant Plains; one daughter, Glenda Fern Curl and husband Rickey of Pangburn; a granddaughter, Shawn Benefield and husband James of Searcy; grandsons, Joshua Curl and wife Emily and Christopher Curl both of Pangburn, Brandon Gordon of Pleasant Plains, and Brett Gordon and wife Meredith of Hanover, Penn.; four great-grandchildren, Luke Davis, Brianna Curl, Ross Benefield, and Mason Curl; and one sister, Amy Corrine Higginbottom of Pleasant Plains. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Alvin L. Gordon and one sister, Rosalind Leonard. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., at Powell Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Independence Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Brad Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Roosevelt Cemetery.
