Bill Blanton

Bill Blanton, Lt. Colonel, USAF, 46, died March 11, 1968 from hostile fire at site 85 in Laos. Remains were not recovered at the time. He was born in El Reno, Okla., September 1, 1921 and entered the military in the early 1940s. Partial remains have been identified through DNA. Services will be at the Wesley United Methodist Church at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 15, followed by military honors at the El Reno Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Norma Knight Blanton of Hot Springs and a daughter, Karen Daughety of El Reno.
