Rosemary Prickett Wooley, 89, of Little Rock, formerly of Pine Bluff passed away Monday September 10, 2012 in Flower Mound, Texas with her two sons and her daughter-in-law at her side. She was born April 12, 1923 in Dyer, Tennessee, the oldest daughter of Eugene and Mary Young Prickett. She grew up in Bryant, Arkansas on the Prickett Dairy farm surrounded by the love of her immediate family including two sisters, Carol Ann Prickett Coburn and Jeanne Claire Prickett Thorpe, and the many cousins, aunts and uncles who resided in the Bryant and Little Rock area. She graduated from Bryant High School in the class of 1941. After graduation from high school she attended and graduated from Draughon's Business College in Little Rock and later worked at the Jacksonville Ordinance Plant. It was during that time she met her future husband Ralph Randall Wooley, then a young medical student. After a courtship that withstood being apart during World War II they were married on September 8, 1946. For the next 50 years they worked their way together through medical school, a medical career and raising three children with stops along the way in Rison, Arkansas, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Greeley Colorado, Tulsa, Oklahoma and finally back to Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother of two sons and a daughter and grandmother of three grandchildren, all of whom adored her and will greatly miss her. She was an avid reader and music lover. She loved to tend her flowers and to feed and watch the birds outside her window. Her faith in God was at the center of her life. She was a member of the Jefferson County Medical Society Auxiliary. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff where she and Dr. Wooley were founding members of the Wedding Ring Sunday School class and participated in numerous organizations and groups within the church and community. She was also a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She is survived by two sons and a daughter in-law, Randy and Jan Wooley of Argyle, Texas and Jeff Wooley of Austin, Texas and three grandchildren, Jordan Wooley of Seoul, Korea, Zachary Wooley of Eugene, Oregon and Meredith Wooley of Oxford, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Randall Wooley and her daughter Emily Wooley Rhodes. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday September 14 at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday September 15 at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff with the Revs. Ed Matthews and Pam Estes officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Pine Crest Memorial Park in Alexander under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home.
