Perry O. Yohe, 86, of Stuttgart passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock on Sept. 13, 2012. He was born Sept. 25, 1925, in the Fairmount Community to Carl D. and Alma Johnson Yohe. During his childhood he attended First Presbyterian Church in Stuttgart that his grandfather helped to establish. He also attended school in Fairmount and later graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1943. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1943-44. Upon returning from the service, he joined his family in farming. Over the years, Perry was actively involved in the Stuttgart community. He was a member of the Stuttgart Jaycees, American Legion Post 48 and Rotary Club where he had served as a past president and was a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and he received an award for Outstanding Rotarian. He was also involved in many church activities. He taught adult Sunday school classes and served on various committees for years, including helping with the local food bank housed at the church. At the time of his death, he was active elder in First Presbyterian Church. Perry is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Waltz Yohe; his brother-in-law, Michael Capps and his wife Holla; his niece, Holly Brothers and her husband Mark and their children, Marlee, Phillip and Andrew; and his nephews, Cliff Capps and wife Bennett and Seth Capps and wife Meghan, all of Stuttgart. His sister, Lois Marian Yohe and his parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 16, from 4-6 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
