Charles "Charlie" Huston Rowland, 47, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 due to complications from ALS. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and worked at Mainstream Technologies in Little Rock. He enjoyed his work, golf, mountain biking, hacky-sack, playing piano, writing poetry and was a talented artist. He is survived by his mother, Henrietta Paladino Rowland; daughter, Brittany Rowland, both of North Little Rock; grandson, Kaeden Fulton; sister, Patty Echols and husband Ed, of Dallas, Texas; best friend, Robert Dunaway, of Cabot; caregiver, Candace Cole, of North Little Rock and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Rowland; brother, Michael Christopher Rowland and his sister, Kelley Michele Rowland. The family would like to extend special thanks for support from Mainstream Technologies, the MDA Association of Arkansas, as well as Emily Sipa and numerous caregivers and Hospice workers who have contributed to Charlie's care over the past eight years. Memorials may be made to MDA Association of Arkansas, 201 Executive Court, Ste. 208, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Reverend Thomas J. Hart officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
