Mary Ann Whitehurst

MARY ANN WHITEHURST GOLDSBERRY, age 86, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. She was born Sept. 20, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Archie and Helen Whitehurst. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville where she was involved in the Prayer Shawl Ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Goldsberry in 2005. She is survived by her children, Teri Jones and her husband Jim, Deane Pieterick and her husband Larry, Robert Goldsberry and his wife Cindy; grandchildren, Guy Hodges, Neil Hodges, Mandy Stockton, Melanie Rivera, Tami Robinson, Sasha Pieterick, Jason Goldsberry, Jennifer Seek, 13 great-grandchilden, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Walter officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
