Debbie Lynn Puryear

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Pfaffenberger Puryear, 54, of Dumas, Arkansas passed away September 22, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was born March 29, 1958 in Altus, Okla. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dumas, Ark. Debbie was a teacher for the Dumas Public School for 27 1/2 years, Jr. High Cheerleader Sponsor and member of Women's Service League in Dumas She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother "Dear", she loved to read and bake cakes and cookies. She was preceded in death by her Father, George Pfaffenberger. She is survived by her husband, Glynn "Ladd" Puryear Jr., mother, Marilyn Johnson Pfaffenberger of Little Rock, Ark., two sons, Crews (Kara) Puryear of Tillar, Ark., Calvin Puryear of Dumas, Ark., one daughter Katie (Daniel) Hill of Dumas, Ark. and two grandsons, Parker and Eli Hill of Dumas, Ark. She also has one brother, Kenny Pfaffenberger of Antioch, Ark. and two sisters, Terri Coggins and Brenda Bell both of Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Dumas from 6-8 p.m. and services, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 10 a.m. with Rev. Tandy Hanson officiating and following with burial at Walnut Lake Cemetery, Dumas, Ark. Memorials may be made in memory of Debbie to Baylor Healthcare System Foundation, 3600 Gaston Ave., Suite 100, Dallas, Texas 75246, designated to Liver Transplant Education and Research. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, Ark.
