Florence M. Glasson Haut

Florence M. Glasson Haut, age 88, of Wilmette, Ill., formerly of Little Rock, Ark. died on September 19, 2012. Wife for 59 years of Arthur; mother of Allyson (Peter Office), Marc, Paul (Dawn) and Judith (Amit Sethi); grandmother of Emma and Charlotte Office, Ethan Haut and Nina Sethi; sister of Theodore "Ted" Glasson; aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Florence was an extraordinarily accomplished woman. She graduated from the Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing, Middletown, Conn. Florence was community minded; a leader of and active in many organizations working to better the lives of others including the League of Women Voters, Arkansas Interfaith Hunger Task Force, the Arkansas Art Center and public education. She was the co-founder of Potluck, Inc., Arkansas' only food rescue organization. In addition, she was a talented artist, cook and gardener. Florence's primary love was always for Arthur, their four children and families, and her many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at a date to be scheduled.
