John Lewis Berryman

John Lewis Berryman, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at his home. He was born August 16, 1929, in Monticello to John and Nora Berryman. He worked for Leo Smith Chevrolet for 43 years starting as a salesman and later became sales manager. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Leder. Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Sue Berryman; three children, Steve (Sharon) Berryman of Jackson, Mississippi, Peggy (Jimmy) Clark of Heber Springs and Mark (Carla) Berryman of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Sue (Ralph) Davis of Stuttgart; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts, are 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour before. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Stuttgart Public Library.
