Maxine Salkeld

MAXINE SALKELD, 79, of North Little Rock died on Sept. 29, 2012. She was born Oct. 3, 1932 in Conway, Ark. Maxine was a retired seamstress for the Bridal Cottage and a member of 16th Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Salkeld; her parents, Claud and Avis Gore; a brother, Bobby Gore; and a sister, Louise Welch. She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Salkeld of North Little Rock; one son, Michael (Vicky) Salkeld of Sherwood; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Staggs (Raymond) of Atkins, Ark., and Pat Wilson (Paul) of North Little Rock; one brother-in-law, Howard Welch of Conway; granddaughter, Stephanie Jeffers (Michael); and two great-granddaughters, Jordan and Whitney, all of Carefree, Ariz. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday at Oak Bowery Cemetery in Conway.
