Rosie Mae Cleaver Conrad

Rosie Mae Cleaver Conrad, 70, of White Hall, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her home. She was born March 23, 1943, in Houston, Arkansas, to George D. and Jennettie Waddle Cleaver. Mrs. Conrad was reared and educated in Rohwer, graduating from Desha Central High School. She had worked for 25 years at H&R Block, before becoming an owner operator with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. She was a member of Claud Road Baptist Church where she worked with the youth and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Morris L. Conrad, whom she married December 19, 1962 in Desha County; daughters, Sheila J. Graves (Neal) of Hot Springs, Pam D. Monk (Jeff) of Woodlawn; a granddaughter, Nicole Lea Monk of Woodlawn; sisters, Mary Hilburn, Augusta Weaver and Vivian Braswell all of White Hall, Frances Brazil of Chickasha, Oklahoma; a brother, Clint Cleaver of Pine Bluff and a half brother, Raymond Bradley of Vilonia. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ralph Robinson & Son. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2012, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Mark Staples, Reverend Ted Keen and Reverend Bill Hilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
