Dora Elizabeth Alpha Winstead

Dora Elizabeth Alpha (Jones) Winstead, 86, of Perryville (Harris Brake Lake), Arkansas, was reunited with countless loved-ones on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1926, in Alexander, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Stein. She was also preceded in death by her husband Sam Donald Winstead; and infant son and daughter; her sister, Katherine Jones Wilhelm. She retired from Wal Mart in Morrilton, where she worked in the fabric department. She was a Christian, raised in the Lutheran Church, but most recently she worshipped in the Baptist Church at Perryville. She was well-loved by her friends and family. She loved going to and working at the Chuck Wagon Races and high school rodeos. Her past-times were crocheting; and most recently spending time at Whiskers Sporting Goods Store in Perryville with her son, Ken "Whiskers." Dora is survived by her children, Linda Sue Martin and husband Billy Wade Sr. of Alexander; Ken "Whiskers" Winstead of Harris Brake Lake; Betty Ann Jackson and husband Pat of Oppelo; Shirley Rosemary Greer and husband David of Rome, Georgia; her brother, Bill Jones of Little Rock; grandchildren, Alesha, Mira, Billy, Sean, Josh, Kendall, and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Madison, Lane, Taylor, Mary, Ben, Jude, Maeleigh, McKenzie, Will, and Karly Jo. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Griffin Leggett Conway. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Conway.
