Garner Kingston Mitchell Jr, age 65, of Cabot, passed away in Little Rock, Ark. on April 2, 2013. He was born January 22, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo. and was the beloved son of Garner and Rose Mitchell. He is survived by his four sons Darin Mitchell (Anna), Garner Mitchell III (Julianty), Owen Mitchell (Amy) and Tyler Grant, and was loving Pawpaw to Isabella, Tabitha, Kingston and Isaac Mitchell; brother to William Lange, Steven Lange and Jim Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a resident of Cabot, Ark. where he spent time with family and friends who loved him deeply. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an accomplished man of many things. In 1965, he joined the United States Navy and was proud to have served his country as a U.D.T. in the Vietnam War until 1969 and was honorably discharged on Feb. 7, 1971. In his last years he was honored to serve as Judge Advocate with the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Jacksonville, Ark. amongst many fellow veterans and friends whom he highly respected. We thank everyone for all the prayers that helped in keeping him strong enough to spend time with his grandchildren. He left us with his heart filled with love and is now at peace with the Lord and will continue to be loved and deeply missed.
