JAMES G. (JIM) PATTON, 83, of North Little Rock died Saturday, April 6, 2013 in his home. He was born in England, Ark. to the late Clint and Ruby Patton. He served in the U.S. Navy and had a long career of construction that he started with his dad as a teenager, and he also enlisted his grandson into the electrical part of construction. He was superintendent for Cherokee Construction for many years. After his retirement, he worked with the Arkansas National Guard at Camp Robinson as chief inspector, advisor, and consultant. He loved and cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James was a great father and husband. He was an advisor to the family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Paula Berkemeyer Patton of North Little Rock; son, Jimmy Patton of North Little Rock; grandson, Jonathan, "Jon" Patton and Meghnn; granddaughter, Mishay Patton Harris and husband, Gordon; great grandchildren, Kaya, Aili and Gordon Harris III; brother Graham Patton and wife Frances of North Little Rock; Bob Patton of Maumelle; sister, Rachel Beavers of Hot Springs and a host of nieces, nephews and friends; He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved daughter, Amanda Patton; brother, Charles "Clint" Patton, Jr.; sisters Pat Dodson and Betsy Patton. Memorials may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72118 or "Ebonee House" A Prader – Willi Home, 2117 Aldersgatge Rd., Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial we be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Monday with a Rosary service at 7 p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
