Frances Stovall Callan, 86, of West Memphis died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mrs. Callan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was a member of the West Memphis First Presbyterian Church. She was the past president of the Women of the Church, the Delta Etts, Crittenden County Historical Society, the Republican Women, and a graduate of Hot Springs High School. Mrs. Callan was the first Life Master of Bridge in West Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband L.D. Callan. She is survived by two daughters, Kitty Slaughter (Bill) of West Memphis, Ark.; Diane Barham (Steve) of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons ,Les Callan (Rita) and Mike Callan (Cindy) of West Memphis, Ark.; a sister, Robbye Hay of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Howard Stovall of Birmingham, Ala.; Arthur Stovall of Lexington, Ky.; 13 grandchildren Shawn, Courtney, Jeff, Traci, Lynn, Edward, Bill, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Trey, Stacey, Brock, Jared, and 20 great–grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till service time at 2 p.m., on Friday April 12, 2013 at the West Memphis First Presbyterian Church with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
