Michael Joseph Nahas

Michael Joseph Nahas, 45, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was born in Chicago, Ill. to Jeanne Nahas Huff and the late Michael S. Nahas. He was a member of the Choate Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church, Little Rock, Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, and the Pipe Fitters Union Local 155. He was an Arkansas Junior Olympian Boxing Champion, and an avid mountain climber, skier and snowboarder. He could play the first line of any song on the guitar. He was an extraordinary artist who taught both Art and Chemistry at North Little Rock High School. He is survived by his wife, Bari Blessing Nahas, his son, Nick Nahas, mother Jeanne Huff (John), stepfather WJ Persinger, sister Micah Lynn Nahas, and brother Lewis Joseph Nahas. He was loved by everyone who knew him. The family will receive friends at a reception at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Ark.
