Roy Lee Wallace, 93, of Bald Knob, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was born January 4, 1920 in Worden, Arkansas a son of the late P.M. and Wave Radcliff Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a farmer most of his life and it was truly his passion. He proudly fought for his country during WWII with the United States Army and served in the Aleutian Islands. Roy was a life-long member of the Worden Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He is survived by his children, Gale Bell (Lin), Tommy Wallace (Judy) and Sherrie Chrisp (Lee) all of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Jessica Dailey, Brooke Suttle, Jared Wallace, Jill Mott, Caleb Chrisp and Cordell Chrisp; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joe Wallace of Bald Knob and Jimmy Wallace of Augusta; sister, Lois McClain; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Vesta (Stone) Wallace; siblings, Glennie, Ray, Johnie and Dale Wallace and June White. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Worden Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Goodwin officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
