Ella Mae "Lani" Lollar

Ella Mae "Lani" Lollar, 87, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Sarah Moore Home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Lani was born on August 1, 1925 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph Steinreid Lander and L'Amanda Jane Mullen Lander. Lani's lifelong calling was that of mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She loved her family, friends, nursing, being outdoors, and working in her yard and feeding her birds. Lani was a member of Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock and was a retired emergency room nurse at St. Vincent Infirmary. She moved to Sarah Moore Home a year ago to be near her daughter. Lani is survived by her children, Michael Morgan McCombs and wife Martha of Houston, Texas; Melissa Lollar Jones and husband Rock of Delaware, Ohio; Mark DeWitt Lollar and wife Lisa of Conway, Arkansas; and grandchildren Matthew and Kelly McCombs, Kenneth McCombs, Kevin McCombs, Alissan Jones, Christopher Jones, Anna Jones, David Lollar, and Phillip Lollar; and the father of her children, Oris B. "Pete" Lollar of Conway, Arkansas. Lani was preceded in death by her son, Peter Jackson Lollar, her parents, and her siblings, Lucia Lander Blackmon, Edward Gale Lander, Marcia Lander Allen, and Joseph Steinreid Lander Jr. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock with Monsignor David LeSieur presiding.
