Evern Edwin Lawless, 81, of Jerusalem, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013. He was born April 16, 1931, in Cleveland, Arkansas, a son of Everett Lawless and Alta Freeman Mills. He served during the Korean Conflict, and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. He was a truck driver 20 years for Gordon Transport, and a member of Jerusalem Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Glynna Sue Roper Lawless; son, Bobby Lawless of Jerusalem; brothers, Charles Lawless of Salina, Oklahoma; Ray Lawless of Ozark; Mack Mills and Barney Mills of Jerusalem; three sisters, Aleda Bateman and Cordell New of Jerusalem; Lena Cossey of Pottsville; and nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17th at Cedar Creek Church of Christ. Burial will be at Cedar Creek Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers are James Huneycutt, Gary Huneycutt, Kevin Huneycutt, Barry Bateman, Matt Keeton and Jimmy Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Odell Wilson, Mack Norwood and James Bartlett.
