Ola Ray Leibs passed away April 20, in Dallas, Texas. Ola is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Beck Ray and Joseph David Ray and her husband of 46 years, Mervin L. Leibs.
Ola is survived by her daughters, Andrea and husband Ben Statman, Jackie and husband Jerry Bendorf, Debbie and husband Donnie Friedman; her grandchildren, Ashley and Jeff Skibell, Lindsay Bendorf and Allison Statman and great-grandchildren, Michael and Kate Skibell; her sisters, Norma Gremm and Betty Rosenfeld; her brother, Gerald Ray and wife Helaine and sister-in-law, Arlene Leibs and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Ola was born in Dallas, Texas on June 23, 1921. She graduated from Forest Avenue High School with numerous academic awards. Ola loved a challenge and had a great intellect. Anything she put her mind to she would find a way to accomplish with perfection. 
She met the love of her life, Mervin Leibs and they married in 1942. In 1949, Ola and Mervin moved to Little Rock, Ark. where they made their home and raised their children. Ola lived in Little Rock for over 50 years and her home was always filled with friends and family. She set the standard for entertaining with her sense of style, attention to detail and impeccable taste. Ola's style was reflected in her home, in her garden and in everything she touched.
Ola was very active in numerous Little Rock organizations including The Brandeis Book Club of which she was the founding member and president, Congregation Temple B'Nai Israel Sisterhood, Hadassah, the Jewish Federation, Club Twenty and her children's schools. 
Ola returned to Dallas in 2002 to be with her children and grandchildren. Spending time with her family was her greatest pleasure. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Temple Emanu-El, Olan Sanctuary, 8500 Hillcrest Rd. Dallas, Texas 75225. Burial will follow in Temple Emanu-El Cemetery in Dallas.
