James Edward Mansker, 84 of Little Rock, died Saturday, April 20, 2013. James was born July 26, 1928 in Jackson, Arkansas to the late Ed and Ettie Mansker. James is also preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. James served in the US Army. He was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church in North Little Rock. He is survived by siblings Pearl Jones of Little Rock, Dimple Walker of Decatur, Ill., and Mary Porter of Chicago, Ill.; five special nephews Preston Harlston, Jr. (Sherry), Emmitt Currin, Rev. Douglas Akins (Pauline), Isaac Akins (Beverly), and Rev. Donald Akins; and nieces Barbara Brown Smith, Pamela Stewart (Mike), and Gladys Pardue. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church, Hwy. 365S, Sweet Home. Burial will be Noon, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
